An "E-accounting" information system will be established.

This was reflected in the proposed amendment to the “Law on Accounting,” discussed at today’s session of the Milli Majlis (National Assembly).

According to the draft, the “E-accounting” information system, determined by the relevant executive authority, will ensure the electronic submission of financial statements (which accounting entities are required to submit to the designated authority) in accordance with the Law “On Electronic Signature and Electronic Document.” The system will also provide access to the official Azerbaijani-language texts of international accounting standards as specified in this Law, electronic versions of legal acts regulating accounting as published in the State Register of Legal Acts of the Republic of Azerbaijan, accounting software tools, and educational resources.

The draft law also proposes the implementation of the “E-accounting” system to enable electronic accounting within budget-funded organizations.

The bill was put to a vote and adopted in its third reading.
